What is the difference between a rivet nut and a riveting nut?

Fastener rivet nuts and riveting nuts are widely used in metal sheets and equipment shells. What's the difference between the two?

1) The working principle is different.
Pressure riveting nut: Press the embossed teeth into the preset holes of the sheet metal. Generally, the diameter of the square preset holes is slightly smaller than the embossed teeth of the pressure riveting nut. The periphery of the hole is plastically deformed, and the deformed object is squeezed into the guide groove, thereby producing a locking effect.
Riveting nut: After being installed on the metal plate, the riveting interface is opened to make it fixed on the plate.

2) Model difference.
The models of pressure riveting nut are divided into: S pressure riveting nut, CLS pressure riveting nut, SP pressure riveting nut.
The type of rivet nut: round rivet nut, hexagonal rivet nut.

3) Strength
The strength of the rivet nut is stronger than that of the rivet nut.

4) Anti-selection and transfer:
The anti-rotation performance of the pressure riveting nut is good; the anti-rotation performance of the rivet nut is poor.

5) Application areas.
Compared with the rivet nut, the pressure riveting nut tends to be used in high-end precision equipment.
